About the La Paz 10K
The La Paz 10K delivers Bolivian high-altitude extremes. Runners navigate through the world's highest de facto capital at a breathtaking 3,650 meters elevation. June's dry winter creates better racing conditions though still extreme challenge as participants experience both colonial Spanish architecture and indigenous Aymara influence. The extraordinarily difficult course features both serious altitude and hills while providing continuous Andean scenery. Bolivian spectators create an atmosphere of traditional mountain support as participants flow through streets representing South America's indigenous heart. This extreme race captures La Paz's distinctive character—geographically dramatic yet traditionally Andean—offering South America's most challenging 10K that showcases Bolivia's unique indigenous heritage.
