About the Orrc Vernonia Marathon
The ORRC Vernonia Marathon offers runners a unique experience on the Banks-Vernonia State Trail, a converted railroad bed in northwest Oregon. Starting in Banks and finishing in Vernonia, this point-to-point course takes participants through lush forests, over wooden trestles, and past scenic farmlands. With a gentle downhill grade for much of the route, it's an excellent opportunity for a PR. The well-maintained, car-free trail provides a safe and enjoyable running environment, while the small-town charm of Vernonia welcomes runners at the finish line. This USATF-certified marathon is known for its natural beauty and community spirit.
