This is a bonus episode in response to a question from the Kaizen community. Josh and Michael talk about setting goals for races (and training towards them), and two different approaches. They go into detail about how sometimes time goals are purely arbitrary, sometimes not, and perhaps there's another way to think about running goals that may lead to greater motivation and/or satisfaction. Josh almost takes the conversation into the realm of metaphysics, but restrains himself.
